Welcome to the MBI-Yeshiva doctoral program. Two doctoral programs are now being offered:

Doctor of Theology (Th.D.) (60 hours)
- Doctor of Divinity (D.D.) (60 hours)
The doctoral courses eventually prepare the student for researching and writing a dissertation as the final project. A student may enter the doctoral program after completing any bonafide master’s degree with any college and with a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0. There may be other prerequisites as outlined below.
First, a potential student must complete an application and pay the fee online even if they have applied to the Yeshiva before for an undergraduate or masters degree. APPLY. Once your application is approved, you may order courses. Order at SECURE ORDER or call (757) 875-0000. Second, have a copy of all transcripts of former study sent to MBI-Yeshiva.
Doctor of Theology in Messianic Judaism or Biblical Studies (Th.D.)
- Master degree or 174 undergrad hours
- Grade point average of 3.0 upon completion of the doctoral program
- Prerequisite courses: Intro to Torah, Essentials of Messianic Judaism and Life of Yeshua
- 46 MBI-Yeshiva doctoral credits
- 14 MBI-Yeshiva dissertation credits
- All fees paid, including graduation fee
(Prerequisite courses are not required if the student has taken them on the undergraduate or masters level.)
Doctor of Divinity (D.D.)
- Master of Theology in messianic studies or rabbinic studies
- Grade point average of 3.0 upon completion of the doctoral program
- Prerequisite courses: Intro to Torah, Essentials of Messianic Judaism and Life of Yeshua
- 46 MBI-Yeshiva doctoral credits
- 14 MBI-Yeshiva dissertation credits
- All fees paid, including graduation fee
(Prerequisite courses are not required if the student has taken them on the undergraduate or masters level.)
FINANCIAL INFORMATION
- (10% off for ordering three or more courses at a time, excluding dissertation.)
- Doctoral program application fee $100.00
- Tuition cost per credit $80.00
- Graduation fee $100.00
- (There may be other fees associated with the D804 dissertation process).
DOCTORAL COMPLETION
- 11 x 17 framed diploma
- Dissertation filed with the Library of Congress
DOCTORAL SYLLABUS INSTRUCTIONS FOR STUDENTS

Develop each assignment to the fullest extent.

Type in Microsoft Word format according to APA guidelines and double-spaced. The file type should be either a Word doc or PDF file. Make sure to backup and save a printed copy of your work before sending your assignment to the Yeshiva.

Research on other sources is encouraged and outside references may be used, if cited.

Be sure to note the version of each scripture used. Include book, chapter and verse.

Grammatical errors will be counted as negative points.
-
Your grade will depend on your ability to communicate your thoughts clearly, reasonably, and accurately.

Students will be notified if their grade is a "C" or below, with the possibility for a redo.
-
Graded papers will not be returned to the student unless specifically requested.

Questions regarding your assignments should be addressed to the instructor’s email address.

The entire doctoral program should take no longer than seven years from start to finish.
-
There is a three month deadline for each course in order for students to stay on track.
